Sign me up Stay informed about special deals, the latest products, events, and more from Microsoft Store. Note that most of my deployments are not large enough to create a "master" image to deploy on new systems. I work with many different customers who have vastly different environments, so using a deployment toolkit is not a good option for me. Fireside Office Solutions is an IT service provider. You'll still need to modify your image to remove Xbox etc. You can't on Pro using GPOs.
MS removed that ability to basically force companies to go enterprise or purchase some Azure subs. As for images We are a service provider and work with a lot of clients with very different environments.
The majority of deployed workstations are HP with a few Dells here and there. Hardware differences are the biggest concern with images. I tried once to deploy from images, but in the end it took more time to update drivers, etc. The only VL software deployed at client sites are Server and Office products. None of our clients have VL licenses for Win If you create your image as a virtual machine you don't have to worry about drivers. Programs like MDT will inject the most current driver you have imported for that piece of hardware.
Companies like HP and Dell make driver packs for most of their business computers so you don't have to import each driver individually. You just download the cab file and tell MDT to get the drivers out of it. I highly recommend the Windows Decrapifier. I didn't develop it, but I use it liberally in my office:.
This gets rid of a ton of unwanted stuff for business users. Since it's PowerShell, I'm sure there's a way to run it on multiple machines based on login or schedule. If you use it on a fresh PC with only a single login, it gets rid of a bunch of junk games included, in my experience , and prevents it from popping up for any other user created subsequently.

Make sure to read the whole thread first for some helpful tips, and maybe give csand a digital high-five if you feel the urge Edit: opened the link and didn't read it for a while, so I didn't see all the responses at first. Someone already beat me to the mention.
I think you can use a registry key to disable in pro? I know this an old discussion, i think after fall edition and spring edition if you run this these scripts or basically do anything with windows store you cannot sysprep. Keep this in mind.
